Deut. 18:10-12:
There shall not be found among you any one that ... uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer, for all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord.
That’s just scratching the surface, there’s tons more from where that came from. The gamut sums to avoidance like the plague. The language is quite clear. There are only two topics having comparable connotation: Jesus’ discourse on
hell and its nature, and the Lord’s revulsion about lukewarm fence sitters: I spew you from my mouth like vomit.
