I am familiar with the jewish practice of mikveh. Jacob Neusner wrote a great scholarly treatise on it some years ago. I have a copy if you would like to borrow it.
So they did baptisms (for the living or dead?), endowments,
washing/annointings and sealings in the temple of Jerusalem, right? Is that what you said?
