Well those with little to no knowledge of Christ could see this and be lead away from Christianity, especially with the Mormon PR effort so focused on the “we are Christians too (but better)” sales pitch...
God, who is rather busy himself, weeps at every lost soul, should such be any less a concern to us?

You would think with a last name of Christ He would have gotten an exemption.
But, alas, no, apparently John the Baptist didn’t hold the ‘proper priesthood authority’, which begs the question. If John the Baptist didn’t have the proper authority, then what was he doing ordaining Smith and Cowdery to the priesthood?
And if Christ had to be ordianed that doesn’t make sense either.
And how could He be a god without knowing the secret handshakes they learn in the endowment ceremonies??
This brings up A LOT of questions.

I was doing some research in one of their branches when the ladies opened the mail and laughed that someone had sent in their lineage all the way back to Adam and Eve.

That is a VERY VERY common ‘faith promoting rumor’ among the LDS. Everyone knows at least ONE person who has ‘traced their genealogy all the way back to Adam and Eve’.

Yeah, but he was just an apostle or a prophet (or both) so it wasn't “official” unless it was then it wasn't because it would be unless it was considered that way which it would not because it couldn't.
See how it works in the LDS?
Easy peasy...

As a Christian, I find this heartwrenching and painful. The Church is the bride of Christ. What the Mormons have done is nothing short of blasphemous.

Not rumor. I was there.
Amazing how the original source records have been found and preserved throughout the history of mankind...

The LDS really is big on door to door down here ... I’ve been following what SNL and Comedy Central have been doing regarding mocking Christianity. It’s easy for them to do it because we believe that in the final judgment they’ll be the ones who are mocked ... they’re afraid in this world what Muslims will do ... they should be more concerned what God will do later ....

Oh, I don’t doubt that they got it. They probably got several. It is a common thing in Mormonism to brag about.
