Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem~Origins

Oh LORD, Our God,
How Excellent,
How Mighty,
and How Wonderful is Your Holy Name!
And How True and Marvelous is Your Word!
Your Promises and Your Covenants are Forever,
For You Are Righteous and Holy,
And there is No Shadow Of Turning With You.

1. And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

2. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

7. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

8. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

9. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.

Abba, Father, Just as You Changed the names of Abram and Sarai,
By adding A Portion of Your HOLY NAME
(The "He" Sound, The Breath of Life, From YHVH),
So that they became AbraHAm and SaraH,
We pray for that very same change in our own lives as we walk before You!
You tell Abram to be PERFECT,
Yet, from what we know about him already, he has messed up a lot,
and Sarai too.
But Now Your have changed them,
Made an Eternal Covenant With Them,
And have Changed Their Names to reflect Your Name.
Their perfection can only Come from YOU.

10. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

11. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.

LORD, we ask that You Circumcise our HEARTS before You.
We realize that this Sign of Your Covenant has gotten Jewish men into a lot of trouble over the years,
For it is the Proof of their Covenant With You,
And can't be disguised.
LORD, give us the Grace and the Courage NEVER to Disguise Our own Faith,
even when the going gets Tough.

Father, We Pray for Israel during the present Crisis.
We Pray for Truth,
Because You ARE The Truth.

We pray for an END to Lies, Slander, Blood Libel,
Propaganda, and Antisemitism against Your Beloved.
We Pray For An End to Slavery, Hostage-Taking,
and Piracy wherever it is Practiced Around the World.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews, In Bondage in Hostile lands,

We Pray For Bibi Netayahu, and the Leaders of Israel
May They Receive Wisdom from You to do the Right Thing.

And Then, The LORD Demands an indelible and unchangable OUTWARD SIGN of AbraHAm's Commitment.

First of All, Abram and Sarai’s NAMES get Changed to Reflect Their RELATIONSHIP With The Almighty (El Shaddai).

Names in the Bible all have meaning. We have rather lost that in today's society.
I love the idea that Catholics name their children (all) with names from the bible and there are many names to choose from.

In the last few years Hebrew roots teachers taught that EL in a name is representative of God. Many names have EL in them. Mine does. Only I was not cognizant of this fact until recent years..

Lord God Jehovah, You have many names. Words describing Your power and character are all through the Bible. Truly Your Power and Character can not be fully known by man. It is beyond comprehension. The wonder of it all is that the creator of all that is ... is God and God loves me. This is unfathomable in scope. Man is as an ant before You. Ye, You love man and have made yourself know to him. Thank You, Father that You first loved us. We have been wayward, stiff necked, stubborn and ungrateful of Your multitude pf blessing showered upon us daily. Help us to live in Your grace and be the light and salt to the world.I come with a humble and contrite heart as ask for forgiveness and mercy. Help me Father to live pleasing to You. bless Israel, the Jewish people, all believers that come to You, the persecuted church, Jerusalem, the lost, the broken hearted, sinners all, Muslims, and those who are seeking You and calling on Your name.
