I agree with your solution. Just turn Beck off. The problem we have today is whenever someone doesn't like certain speech, they want to make a law and control what is broadcast over the air.
I agree with your solution. Just click out of this thread. The problem we have today is whenever someone doesn't like certain speech, they want to make a law and control what is posted online. (Like controlling comments by Coldwater Creek)
Oh, did I say that? Actually, not my thoughts at all. But I thought it'd be fun quoting your own philosophical standard -- applied to you. (Poster, heal thyself)
Upon first glance, I didn't see CC making any "ban Beck" comments, did you?
And if you're talking about the thread poster's (CalvaryJohn's) initial comment, he talked about qualifications on certain subjects...and how some people disqualify themselves...which is distinct from having somebody else come and disqualify you from speaking on certain subjects.
He's saying Beck has disqualified himself as being any reliable authority on certain subjects -- like religion. (Too bad Liberty University flunked in taking this counsel)
But, my initial point to you sticks: If you don't like either what CalvaryJohn or Coldwater Creek said, then listen to your own lecture: Just click out of this thread vs. trying to "control" certain assessments posters have of Beck.
And if you don't think you're trying to "control" anybody's thoughts on this thread, fine. Maybe you aren't. But then don't introduce the topic that you think others are, then. Play by the same standard you're applying to others.
