Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem

Psalm 122

A Song Of Ascents
Of David

1. I rejoiced when they said unto me:
'Let us go unto the house of the LORD.'

2. Our feet are standing within thy gates,
O Jerusalem;

3. Jerusalem, that art builded as a city that is compact together;

4. Whither the tribes went up,
even the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony unto Israel,
to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

5. For there were set thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.

6. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem;
may they prosper that love thee.

7. Peace be within thy walls,
and prosperity within thy palaces.

8. For my brethren and companions' sakes,
I will now say:
'Peace be within thee.'

9. For the sake of the house of the LORD our God
I will seek thy good.

Psalm 122

Almighty and Eternal Father,
How Glorious and Wonderful You Are!
Your Magnificence and Perfection are Overwhelming.
And yet, even moreso, Your Justice, Your Righteousness, and Your Profound Holiness!
For It is You Who Made All That Exists,
From the Mightiest Galaxies to the Tiniest Atom.
You Know Us Inside and Out.
Our Hearts and Thoughts belong to You.
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God of Abraham,
and Indeed of ALL People.
Your Promises and Precepts are Eternal.
Your Judgments and Word are Forever True.
There is No Shadow of Turning With You.
You Are Faithful Even When We Are Not.
You ARE The Truth.
Let God be True, and every man be a liar.
Let others choose whom they may serve,
but as for me and my house,
We Shall Serve You, Abba.
And in serving YOU, We Choose to Believe and Obey Your Word.

LORD, as we have new insight into Your Provision for the Widow Ruth,
And how she became the Great-Grandmother of the Author of this Psalm,
And we see Your Plan unfold before Our Very Eyes,
We begin to have the veil lifted ever so slightly from our hearts!
To be able to see Centuries, Millennia,
ahead and backward,
and not be constrained by TIME,
Is not in our fleshly nature at all!
To be able to see Your Provision for the World
and All Its People Erupt Forth from the need of two widows,
who wander into town with nothing,
to King David founding the City of Jerusalem,
And now Jerusalem being "A Burdensome Stone" to All Nations",
Just as Your Prophet Zechariah said so Clearly!

6. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem;
may they prosper that love thee.

7. Peace be within thy walls,
and prosperity within thy palaces.

8. For my brethren and companions' sakes,
I will now say:
'Peace be within thee.'

9. For the sake of the house of the LORD our God
I will seek thy good.

Dear Abba, We Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem,
And for those within her gates.
Almighty God, We pray so Fondly for Your Beloved!
Even For Those Who are Puzzled by Our Prayers for Them,
Or look at Our Past Sins,
Or Think We have an "Agenda".
We Pray that as You Call Them Home,
from the East and From The West,
From The North and from the South,
From Out of the Lands of persecution and Bitterness,
Of Paganism and Slavery and Bondage,
Of places that were never really home to them,

We ask for forgiveness for ourselves,
For Our Disobedience and Prejudice
And For Our Pride and Arrogance
Forgive us for being complacent,
And allowing people to get into power,
Who hate Your people, Your Law, and YOU.

Dear Father, and we Pray for Our Nation.
We ask You to reverse the trends of evil and selfishness
that have taken hold in our own Land.
We beg that You will restore Faith in You,
The One True God,
and that Our own Nation will Once Again be Known
as one who keeps Her Promises to Her Friends and Allies,
and NOT as A Truce-Breaker.

Abba Father, How we long for that Day,
When You will remove From Your Holy Place
ANYTHING that does not Honor You,
and You ALONE.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
For Israel, and For The Jewish People.
We Thank You Profoundly For That Tiny Nation
that sits at the Very Crossroads of History,
At the Nexus of Three Continents,
A Holy Witness to The Ultimate Truth of Your WORD!
For it is Not By Might,
Not By Power,
But By Your Spirit that the enemy will be overcome.

We Plead For Israeli Control Over All the Holy Sites in Israel,
So that People of All Faiths may visit them.
We Pray For Bibi Netayahu, and the Leaders of Israel
May They Receive Wisdom from You to do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

This Morning, I searched and Searched for a New Book to Study in Our Daily "Gan Tefillah" (Garden of Prayer), for the Peace of Jerusalem.

But the LORD kept leading me back to Psalm 122 on THREE Different Sites! (Do You Think He was trying to get my attention?LOL!)

On Two of the sites, the Psalm was in Hebrew, and on one of them there was an Audio Link to an MP3, which I have included.
