Agreed. The committee met, the doctors met with the committee and one presumes the family, the family met, the patient met with everyone, then the decision was made. I can ASSURE you that the committee is not required to meet if the doctor believes death is imminent, otherwise it would be impossible for the hospital to obtain insurance.
