Cute! Joke ..?? Sorry .. not buying it.
It’s better to be called “ignorant” .. because after all - you can learn; it’s much worse to be called “Stupid”; which I did not do.
Yeah, you kinda did.
The God of us all will take him into HIS arms.....Jews...Muslims..Mormon...Catholic...Lutheran....etc...THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD!
You could read this as referring to all these religions as worshiping the same god.
there is only one true God...and HE is God of all of us
True, but you'd probably get a little debate out of the Satanists, atheists and other democrats.
....there are not multiple gods.....
The polytheists, of course, would disagree.
Besides, there might just be some other god you don't know about, hanging out in some parallel universe.
I dont believe you.

Ditto.
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
Yeah, we know God has no use for Jews, especially the carpenters

Paul saw some of it when he was “caught up in the third heaven” and he could or would not discuss it. I think this is wisdom.
But it is curious as to how many cultish ideas about heaven are bandied about in the name of Jesus without regard to the given Word. And that Word says quite a bit already about the glories of Heaven for inquiring minds...
Dear Mr. 2 legs good,
That’s what your sect says. Many many, Other Christians do not agree with your interpretation. And no matter how much you insist that Jesus saw it your way, the fact is, your opinion is no better than theirs, or mine on the matter.
Among several fascinating things to write about, like 'Philip's Physics Lesson', and 'Time Traveler', there is the Daniel 5 episode of a being standing in one where/when and reaching into Belshazzar's where/when to write on the wall of party central. Then there is the fascinating scene where Jesus 'hide' Himself and walk past the Pharisees picking up stone to stone Him for say 'I Am' when they questioned Him about Abraham rejoicing at seeing His day.
Folks who do not read the Bible are really missing some of the most fascinating things which can challenge modern Physics and Cosmology! There are scenes in the Bible as fascinating as any Cosmoss, watch Mister Wizard, or NOVA episode. Can you imagine an iron axhead floating for retrieval from a river? Amazing stuff that ...
Fortunately for all of us, it is not my opinion that counts. It’s God’s.
To get back on point, I prayed for a Jewish friend of mine for years. Years. That person ended up taking their own life.
i prayed about it in agony, because I really loved that person and I do not believe that suicide is the ultimate sin.
All I could come up with as an answer to my agonized tearful prayers was this...
God is fair. God always gives every one of us a fair and plain and straight-shooting place to accept Him or reject Him. God does not try anyone beyond their strength, He will never burden us with anything more than we can personally bear. This can also be applied to situations of salvation — how God is just and fair and good and desires that all would be saved. But God gave every one of us free will. That is the mystery and power of God. We have the free will to choose Him or reject Him.
But I would never think to pray for my beloved Jewish friend now that they “see face to face”... there is just no place in the Bible that would afford me that behavior. They already see and know more than I do here, what would I be praying to happen to them?
“And that Word says quite a bit already about the glories of Heaven for inquiring minds...”
Yes it does, and Roman Catholics understand it one way, Protestants another (almost in as many ways as there are protestant branches on the tree of the church) Orthodox understand it another way.
Unless you argue that only ONE Christ-worshipping church has it right, and the others are condemning all their followers with their grave errors,,, the answer obviously lies elsewhere.
Interesting book idea: since God holds all things together.
The Physics of God. Very cool. Cooler still when one realizes that He is not only the Master Physician, but the Master Physicist.
I think you should also think about the physics of sin.
“Only the pure in heart can see God”.
Here is a clue, for those who have ears to hear: at the Marriage of Christ and His Church in Heaven, there is the Bride with Him, there ONLY because of Him, and there is a gagle of witnesses so great no man could number them, guests come for the Wedding. Some will tell you the throng of witnesses are Angels, but other scriptures indicate they are humans, there in Heaven ONLY because of Jesus, yet they are not The Bride.
The Jews have always been God's covenant people and in the final reckoning-- God will keep every promise HE ever made to their fathers.
This I know:
The Lord is merciful, and mercy triumphs over judgment. (James 2:13)
As your friend has passed into eternity-- we can only thank God for the privilege of knowing him -- and TRUST in the great love and mercies of God.
This also I know:
When we don't have the answers to convoluted questions of life and theology -- God DOES have those answers -- and the more we show our trust through faith.... the more peace we find.
"Sometimes -- we dont know..... but we know WHO knows... and we trust Who knows"
Be at peace; rest in God's blessings...
“Fortunately for all of us, it is not my opinion that counts. Its Gods.”
Your statements seem to indicate that you think those two opinions are about the same. HOwever, Jesus words spoke to the hearts of many Christians,,, somewhat differently. You blithely opine that half of Christianity is in mortal error,,bold talk, but still, just the opinion/interpretation of the Bible, from the people who who taught you.
I think there is a true body and a true church but it is not where we worship or denominationalism. The problem comes when we take time-bound ideas of different sects and try to cut and paste them into the Word of God as being the same thing. That’s all I’m saying.
Did I mention the person who led me to the Lord was not only a Messianic Jew, but a Catholic Messianic Jew?
Got the Hebrew/Greek on that worked out? Interesting topic.
That quote is much more interesting in context:
Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of heaven only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. On that day, many will say to me, Lord, Lord, didnt we prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons and do many powerful deeds? Then I will declare to them, I never knew you. Go away from me, you lawbreakers!" (Mt 7:21-23, NET)
This is a condemnation of "Christians" who use the name of Jesus for public acclaim while "working lawlessness." Pious Jews do not prophesy in Christ's name, and they keep the Law. Therefore, they are not condemned by this pronouncement.
My favorite Biblical image of salvation is the last chapter of Jonah--the Ninevites receiving God's mercy, while the prophet sulks because there was no fire and brimstone. Don't get too excited about the possibility of a barbecue, because it may get called off.
I just read a few comments..I can’t even believe someone would post such a thread...I am a Catholic...but I have NO DOUBT, NO DOUBT all the Jews that suffered the unspeakable evil and death at the hands of the Nazis are in Heaven.
Don’t worry about it. God isn’t the petty tyrant that many people make him out to be. He knows what you instinctively know — that good people are keepers.
I didn’t mean to sound blithe about anyone’s error. Lord knows, I’ve been in a lot of it myself.
