Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem (5/16/10) [Prayer]

Zechariah Chapter 12

1. The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel,
saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens,
and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

2. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about,
when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

3. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people:
all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces,
though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

4. In that day, saith the LORD,
I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness:
and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah,
and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

5. And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart,
The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

6. In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood,
and like a torch of fire in a sheaf;
and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left:
and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

7. The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first,
that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

8. In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David;
and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

9. And it shall come to pass in that day,
that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10. And I will pour upon the house of David,
and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
the spirit of grace and of supplications:
and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced,
and they shall mourn for him,
as one mourneth for his only son,
and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

11. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem,
as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

12. And the land shall mourn, every family apart;
the family of the house of David apart,
and their wives apart;
the family of the house of Nathan apart,
and their wives apart;

13. The family of the house of Levi apart,
and their wives apart;
the family of Shimei apart,
and their wives apart;

14. All the families that remain, every family apart,
and their wives apart.

Mourning, while removing the Torah from the Synagogue in Gush Katif, Gaza,
As the Jews are forcibly Removed from their homes.

Oh LORD, You are forever Holy and Righteous.
How Excellent is Your Name!
It is You Who Stretched out the Heavens,
And it is You Who laid the Foundations of the Earth.
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise, and You Alone Are The One True God of Abraham!
Ancient of Days,
Rock of Ages,
Eternal, and Almighty,
We Can Do Nothing But Fall On Our Faces Before You in Endless Worship and Thanksgiving!
We Thank You For Your Mighty, Exquisite, Holy, and Immutable Word!
We Thank You For Your Jewish People,
Who in Spite of Centuries of Exile and Persecution,
Have Kept Your Word Alive.
We Thank You For Giving Us a Glimpse Into Your Eternal Mind,
And We Thank You For Your Provision For Redemption and Wholeness,
Even Though None Of us deserve it!

2. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about,
when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

3. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people:
all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces,
though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Abba Father, From the Very Day the Modern State of Israel was Founded,
She has had to defend herself against her neighbors.
But now, it seems, this Very Prophecy is coming to Fruition before our Own Eyes!
I tremble for my Own Nation, Dear Father, as You Are so Clear in Your Word what happens to nations who stand Against You and Your Beloved!
Father, We Thank You For The Remnant who Continue to Support Israel,
despite the political Climate.
Number us NOT with those who whisper lies to Your People.
Those who say "Peace and Safety" out loud,
but who inwardly plot against You and Your Beloved!
We ask You to Intervene in the Affairs of Nations,
And Change the Direction of Our Own.
We Plead With You, That Our Leaders will be Led by Your Spirit
with regards to Our Own Country's Policies Towards Jerusalem,
Or That You Will Remove Them.
We Also Pray that you will remove the spirit of idolatry
That has invaded the politics of our Nation.
We beg For You To Replace The leaders Who Seize Power
Only to feed Their own EGOS, and NOT to Serve the People or the Constitution.

9. And it shall come to pass in that day,
that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, For Israel, and For The Jewish People.
We Thank You Profoundly For That Tiny Nation that sits at the Very Crossroads of History,
At the Nexus of Three Continents,
A Holy Witness to The Ultimate Truth of Your WORD!
For it is Not By Might, Not By Power, But By Your Spirit that the enemy will be overcome.

10. And I will pour upon the house of David,
and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
the spirit of grace and of supplications:
and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced,
and they shall mourn for him,
as one mourneth for his only son,
and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Even So, We Pray, as Our Jewish and Christian Brethren have prayed for Centuries,
That Messiah Come Quickly.
Jerusalem is Indeed a Cup of Trembling.
Jerusalem is Indeed a Burdensome Stone to All Nations
How we Cry Out, Ache, and Long to See You, to Make Things Right.

Dear Father, Abba, We Pray for The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise!

We Thank you for those who come to this "Gan Tefillah",
This Garden of Prayer,
Every Single Day
To Pray For Your People,
To Study Your Word,
To Share Insights,
To Gaze Upon Pictures of Your Land of Promise
And to Have Blessed Fellowship.
Please Bless Jim Rob for giving us this Opportunity,
and this little corner of FR.

We Plead For Israeli Control Over All the Holy Sites in Israel,
So that People of All Faiths may visit them.
We Pray For Bibi Netayahu, and the Leaders of Israel
May They Receive Wisdom from You to do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Psalm 14

Denunciation of Godlessness
To the leader. Of David.

1Fools say in their hearts, ‘There is no God.’
They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds;
there is no one who does good.

2The Lord looks down from heaven on humankind
to see if there are any who are wise,
who seek after God.

3They have all gone astray, they are all alike perverse;
there is no one who does good,
no, not one.

4Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers
who eat up my people as they eat bread,
and do not call upon the Lord?

5There they shall be in great terror,
for God is with the company of the righteous.
6You would confound the plans of the poor,
but the Lord is their refuge.

7O that deliverance for Israel would come from Zion!
When the Lord restores the fortunes of his people,
Jacob will rejoice; Israel will be glad.

Once again these verses are true of today. Seriously so.

Gracious Heavenly Father, hear our prayer. We are astonished before You. We are powerless without You. What are we to do? You are our refuge, You are our fortress, You are our high tower, You are LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. ALL POWER is YOURS. We cry out for forgiveness, of our offenses, give us covering and protection for the coming conflagration. We thank you, Father for Grace and that You love us. We are unworthy and continue to drift along. Help us shine the light of Your Word to the world. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Bring peace to our land. Israel is sitting in the midst of being surrounded by enemies working for their demise. Cover Israel and the people there, and Jerusalem and the persecuted believers in the world. We need Your Mercy. Show Your glory and splendor before the nations. Father may You be Glorified today. Heal our land In Israel, and America, and the leaders of these peoples. Give them a heart for You LORD! We rest in our hands, Father. Remember we are but clay. In Jesus name, amen.
