Unemployed, non-religious educators are turning to Catholicism in an attempt to secure a coveted teaching position, even it means lying in confession about whether they've had pre-marital sex, some have revealed . . . "I haven't gone for my, um, what do you call it the bread thing yet...Communion. I'm nervous about it" I'd like to hope that those who turn to the church for other reasons would stay for the grace and the goodness, but I have my doubts when it's done from a position this dishonest. I have no problem with Jewish teachers who are really Jewish teaching my children, but if someone lies in confession and takes communion thinking it's just "the bread thing", I don't want them around my children.
