If you have actually READ the gospels, you will note that Christ didn’t put up with moneychangers in the temple, Pharisees and scribes, or any others in the “generation of vipers” and “whited sepulchres.”

I guess it’s annoying to anti-Catholic bigots when Catholics make an answer to falsehood. Shame on us /sarc.

More cut and paste? Got a source? Otherwise, feh!

And just waht do you call comment #32?

90% the religious threads are filled with information taken form other sites that says things better then one could say it themselves. To claim it is wrong then go back and tell that to every other freeper that does the same to other threads. I did have credit due to whom and where it came from.

Before the Protestant reformation, the Protestant and Catholic church were one and the same.

GonzoII did the same to defend his comments and was not deleted. Mine was deleted when I did it the first time.

"Before the Protestant reformation, the Protestant and Catholic church were one and the same."

Well, Doc, then we have to ask why was there a Reformation.

The Catholic Church depends upon signs, wonders, and traditions of the Church along with the supposed infallible wisdom from the Pope for the salvation of their members.

Have you ever asked the question, "Who is more infallible, the man elected Pope, or the men who elected that man?" Then to follow up, "What makes the elected man infallible over the men who elected that man?"

I am not a Catholic basher just because I ask questions and don’t like articles criticizing my faith! You seem very mean-spirited in the way you word your posts on this thread.

Your posts were fine. The Catholics won’t stop until they have The Koran inserted into the Bible. Everything is OK in their tradition provided they pay homage to the Pope prior to faith alone in Christ alone.

"Mine was deleted when I did it the first time."

Mine was from reputable sources, that didn't claim the Catholic church introduced the heresy called candles.

Oh, poor baby! No one will hold your hand? Then maybe stay off the open threads. Thin-skinned posters are disrupters on open threads.

You evidently have great difficulty making links. A refresher course for you is in order.

And if you’re going to use GonzoII’s post, it’s polite to ping him. Of course, politeness is not expected from protestants.

Because the Catholic church lost its way (doctrinally and otherwise). In my opinion, and that of many Protestants, it started as Christ’s church and became a church of men ... thus requiring renewal and reform.

The origins of Christ’s church on earth remain the same, however. I trace my church to the exact same moments to which you trace yours ... the apostles.

How about a source?

Maybe there wasn’t any central authority figure between the day of penecost and Constantine. Christ is the head of the Church maybe he intended that way. Paul went into cities and helped to elect their own leaders and they were autonomous.
