Can you show me what a non-protestantised, authentic Catholic image of Jesus looks like?
I’m not an art history guy, but there used to be fairly strict canons dealing with representations of Our Lord.
I think one of the best representations of Him so far are available in the computer reconstrurction of the Holy Shroud of Turin, a man of roughly 33 years with a beard and a very familiar expression, something we Catholics and Orthodox have seen in our Churches since the catacombs.
