However, my views on any given faith as a whole doesn't hinge on the wrong doings of some of it's parts. You simply cannot control all variables. There are many Catholic parishes, and it is simply impossible to know all that goes on in them. Once the Vatican is finally informed of a case, they will do something about it. Ultimately, the responsibility belongs to the Bishop's. And lets face it, some of them aren't so swift. But to condemn the whole Church over it is ridiculous.
I feel the same way about Protestants and the Jewish faith. I willl not condemn them but for the few that do commit heinous acts. It would not be fair to do so.
The scandals in the Church are used as opportunities to attack it's credibility by those that hate it already.
