I agree.

In fact I encourage anyone to get a free Book of Mormon from the LDS.ORG website and read it with an open and inquiring mind and put its words to logical and reasonable tests against both the Bible and the real world. Don't rely solely on you emotions but trust the eyes ears and brain God gave you to divine truth from fiction.

Certainly that is a reasonable approach and should be of no issue to LDS members, right?

Truth will out

I agree with you ejonesie, one and all should read the BofM, but not only the BofM, but the Bible also, and truly study what they have read in their mind and don’t solely rely on emotions, but to not forget to ask God if He did or didn’t inspire the BofM and the Bible. Also ask Him to lead you to all truths and be sure to tell Him that you are willing to give up any belief that you have that isn’t right. Tell Him that you are willing to be the potter’s clay and to let Him be the potter.

Also be sure to ask Him to let you know how He is going to let you know what is truth and what it isn’t.
