That is not why “papal secrecy “ is invoked. RC apologists can say that till the cows come home, but it won’t make it true.

People are not stupid. “Papal secrecy” means just what it sounds like it means. It means keep your mouth shut or you’re out of the church.

And Ratzinger’s letter has been posted many times. It says what it says...

Yeah, it does. In fact, it says exactly what I said it said:

It must be noted that the criminal action on delicts reserved to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith is extinguished by a prescription of 10 years.(11) The prescription runs according to the universal and common law;(12) however, in the delict perpetrated with a minor by a cleric, the prescription begins to run from the day when the minor has completed the 18th year of age.

Which is exactly what I said about the statute of limitations running out 10 years after the victim's 18th birthday. Thank you for posting that link. It also says not a word about victims being excommunicated for going to the police.

Speaking of which, can you produce even one? Victim who was excommunicated for going to the police, I mean.

This is what is technically called, "Proof by Blatant Assertion". The truth is what you say it is, and the evidence means what you say it means, even when it clearly doesn't.

Gotcha. But that's not bigotry or anything. Nosiree.
