Reaganaut, good to see you today. I’m off soon though, been a long day.
I’m familiar with the Doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and so I hope you don’t mind If I don’t wade through that long of a post. I can read canon without reading from a poster “Anthony” on a Mel Gibson thread, but thank you for bringing what you have under your belt to the table. I appreciate your intent.
If I don’t see you more today, have a good night. (I may be on and off as I wind down before bed).
You too, I’m heading back to the ranch (and offline) again tomorrow for several more days. Catch up with you next week.
When I was LDS, both at church and at BYU, it was common belief that the Catholic church was the ‘church of the Devil’, and I had Roger Keller for American Religions class and he flat out stated it in his lectures.
I remember a joke about the Pope’s assistant coming in and saying “good news God is on the phone, bad news is He is calling from Salt Lake City”.
It was popular because it reflected the views of the rank and file.
