I'm not sure this is an accurate interpretation. I believe a better understanding of Luke 21:32 is the generation that sees the beginning of the Tribulation will see it's end.
Israels strongest ally has put a muslim sympathizing leader in place. He has done everything except openly admit hatred and opposition to Israel.
So true, who would have believed it just 4-5 years ago?
32"I tell you the truth, this generation[b] will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Ancient Israelites always identified their nation or people to the fig tree. So when Christ talked about the fig tree it was natural for them to identify it as Israel. The key to this is verse 30 "When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near." Sprouting leaves was a sign of rebirth and growth. So with the sprouting leaves of the fig tree, comes the rebirth of Israel.
Spring signals rebirth and growth, a time of renewal. The tribulation, particularly the Great Tribulation, is called a time of Jacobs trouble. It is seen as a time of persecution, judgement and death.
Isaiah 27:6
6 In days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill all the world with fruit.
Israel today has literally made the desert bloom. Before 1948 it was a desert, a wasteland. Today Israel is on of the largest exporters of citrus. It exports tulips INTO THE NETHERLANDS.
Israel has become the blossoming fig tree.
Without verse 30, MAYBE, maybe it would be possible to see the generation that sees the beginning of the trib, will see its end. The problem with that is the trib is only 7 years long. With 3-1/2 "good" years.
Israel has sprouted leaves, has the tribulation started?
Israels birth signifies the kingdom of the Lord is near, not the tribulation. The tribulation is part of the time leading to the Kingdom Of God, but it is not the focus, the focus is The Kingdom Of God. That is what we are to be looking for.
