What I find strange is how some RCs diminish and even ignore the Old Testament, when Christ referenced the Old Testament continually. When Christ talked about "the Scriptures," He wasn't talking about the Gospels. He was talking about the Hebrew text. Any practicing Catholic would find that hard to do, since there is an OT reading at every mass.
But I know what you mean. As a person born Jewish, it would bother me if your comment were true.
