If Protestants are being expected to forget Roman Catholic Church history like the Inquisition, etc, because they are in the past and over and done with, why not like the past be the past and the whole RC thing be over and done with? Great question.

And, I might have looked at that error and it not registered as a significant error, either. But the perpetually offended will find it where none is meant.
If constantly amazes me where some people's minds are that they even notice stuff like that.

Only if it’s white to black do they take offense.
You ever hear blacks talking to each other? They don’t have any problem calling each other that.

I should have pinged you to post 2719.
Sheesh.
You weren’t around in those days.
Get over it already.

Someone else's misuse of a word is not my responsibility. Exactly!
THANK-YOU!

Someone else's misuse of a word is not my responsibility. And, last time I checked, we weren't Ireland either! I'd love to visit sometime in my life. It's a beautiful country!

The objections to the use of this term remind me too much of the Asians in Atlanta who are complaining about the metro lines which were color coded. They didn't like *Yellow Line* because apparently the yellow line ran through their Chinatown, and they are now demanding that it be relabeled. Well, they better not change the line to red or the Russians will be upset.
And not green since the Irish might object.
Not white because that would obviously offend blacks.
And not black because whites might not like it.
Green is out because it's obviously too politically-correct.
How about blue? No one has yet co-opted the color blue.
Have they?

I suppose that we could always use RCC, for Roman Catholic Church to accommodate all the hurt feelings. Unless they find something objectionable about THAT as well. Some already have! I guess if one is unable to speak to the subject issues, use a diversion, and attack the Freeper. Kinda dishonest if ya ask me. Best to ignore it.

"Someone else's misuse of a word is not my responsibility." You have been advised by several Freepers that that it is offensive and hurtful. If you use it again it will be done so will full knowledge and intent to hurt and that would be very un-Christian.

I don’t doubt the abbreviation of RC came first and someone just saw the opportunity to corrupt it.
Considering the pronunciation isn’t even that close, since saying something that sounds like are-see is not the same as saying something that sounds like ars, it’s really just a matter of how offended someone chooses to be.
Nobody is pronouncing the letters *R* and *C* as *ars*, they are being pronounced as an *R* and a *C*.

Clinically depressed people might not like *blue line*.
We can’t offend the mentally challenged, you know.

"Considering the pronunciation isnt even that close" The pronunciation may not be that close in Tulsa or East Cowpie or where ever you are, but it is indistinguishable from arse from Dingle to Derry.

You have been advised by several Freepers that that it is offensive and hurtful. If you use it again it will be done so will full knowledge and intent to hurt and that would be very un-Christian.Haven't you ever read the RF guidelines about not posting if you're too thin skinned?
All it appears that you're doing now, after having had explained to you what is meant by the abbreviation, is that you are trying to control others behavior and posting.
How about looking at it this way? If you continue to take offense after this, it will be done so with full knowledge that there was no intent to hurt or insult, and that you are accusing others of behavior which you know they are not engaging in.
Therefore you are making false accusations about them and bearing false witness against them and that would be very un-Christian.
This isn't the early 1900's and this isn't Ireland. Get a life.

Honestly. I can’t help it if they have problems with their pronunciations.
I don’t see why their problems should dictate who I live or post.
