From my recall and recollection I question a number of these comments. Take all with a grain of salt!Elpadre, why shouldn't your completely vague and uninformed "questioning" be taken with an even bigger grain of salt?
Johannes Gutenberg died in 1468. The so-called "Reformation" famously began in 1517. Gutenberg died 15 years before Luther was born.
Saying that Gutenberg was not a Protestant is about as historically controversial as saying that Rita Hayworth was not a Spice Girl.

I really wsn’t concerned about the Gutenburg but the thread in general - and for that, yes, a bigger grain of salt.
