As I stated earlier today, it is the last hurrah for Kueng and the apostate nuns. The real question involves the succession of property when, in each order, the last of these apostate nuns die. Their mighty hospital system and real estate holdings will be the envy of all. I suggest that orthodox women send in 5th columns to infiltrate these shameful orders to ensure that the properties remain in the hands of the faithful. In addition, I think the Bishops shoud refuse the leaders of these orders a Christian burial given the public scandal they have given.

Just up the road from me is a huge residence for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. It is surrounded by sumptuous lawns, lots of property and plenty of quiet. They gave up the habit back in the late 60's and their numbers have shrunk commensurately over the decades.

In another part of town was an order of contemplative sisters. Their numbers were growing and they needed to expand. (Remember, one purpose contemplative sisters serve is to pray for the diocese!) They approached the bishop and asked for a larger property in a quiet setting where they could pray in peace.

Over the past 30+ years, the bishop has been closing parishes and schools. He is loaded with properties. His response was to apologize; he could not help them. Their response was to pack their bags and move to a different diocese. Good for them!
