Calling someone from San Antonion to answer your question.

**This could get interesting. **
Yes, it will be very interesting to watch.
In some cases, we will think that the new Archbishop is not moving quickly enough.
And then, when looking at the entire set of problems in the L. A. Archdiocese, it will take years to remedy them. It will be s slow process.
However, I am heartened by sockmonkey’s comments on another thread Bishop Gomez works quietly and sometimes people don’t even realize the changes are happening.
We, here, at FR will surely think it is worth keeping up with!
Thanks! I get weary of those who think the church has one position on this. It is left up to individual conscious.
As a Denverite, I only ran into +Gomez a few times. He struck me as subdued and soft-spoken, but he sure projected presence.
I think that he will keep the church there as it is — some people are worried about it. I guess it is quite beautiful.
In a couple of the other threads — there is a reference to the restoration of churches in San Antonion.
Good vibes, in my estimation.
Not that I know of. He was supposed on the short list for L.A.
“Did you read sockmonkeys post above about the sadness in San Antonio diocese?”
Yes, but since I know nothing of the San Antonion diocese, I have no way of placing that in context.
Illegal immigration breaks up families. Deportation reunites them, in Mexico, where they belong.
