More proof of Google's "anti-Christian" bias
Self

Posted on 04/05/2010 5:36:51 AM PDT by MDspinboyredux

As we know, Google is famous for their logo's during holidays. We also know that for some reason, Christian holidays are either secularized or not represented at all. This was the case again this last Easter.

Usually, Google has a boilerplate explanation that they use, saying in effect that there a literally thousands of holidays and that they can't possibly accommodate them all, and it should in no way be interpreted at 'anti-Christian'

However, go to Google and type in "Christianity is" in their search engine and let Google 'auto-suggest some links for you. You'll be quite surprised.

Their search algorithms seem to have a specific 'tendency', don't you agree?

Thanks for doing the research. They did make changes.

There were a number of threads on this, as well as a few published news articles, shortly after the new year. Typing “Islam is” would result is zero search suggestions.

Google must have been pressured into making the change.

Understood. Google’s made some changes.

Doing so used to produce no results. It was obvious Google treated islam differently than other religions.

This strikes me as a phony controversy. At least two of Google's co-founders are Jewish. Complaining that they don't note Easter makes about as much sense as complaining a kosher deli doesn't serve ham.

Jews do a lot of good things, but celebrating Christianity isn't one of them.
