Thanks very much for these, Cvengr. Very interesting. I didn't realize there were that many kinds and I found it very interesting that in most of the lists the Seraphim are the most powerful, with the Cherubim as number two. Seems weird that the most beautiful angel was in the second highest tier

It is truly meet to bless you, O Theotokos, ever-blessed and most pure, and the Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and more glorious beyond compare than the Seraphim, without defilement you gave birth to God the Word. True Theotokos we magnify you!

That's interesting considering how Mary interacted with the angel at the Annunciation. The atmosphere of that scene sure seemed to have the angel in the higher position.
