Thank you for that post. I always try to keep the descriptions of those who knew Him before my spiritual eyes. King David, I'm told, had reddish hair. Our Lord's was the color of fully ripened chestnuts which have a dark auburn color, and he had gray eyes. He was “perfect” in all respects and “fair to look upon”. The Shroud always makes me sad, He seems so old in it, and I realize it is all the pain He suffered. I almost can't stand the thought of it — it's true anguish — until I realize that He did it all so I could see Him and be with Him as He truly is forever — it is then that I experience the feeling of true love and realize that no matter how lonely it gets at times, there's someone waiting for me Who wants to see me as much as I want to see Him. I feel so humbled by His love.
