Any fair-minded person, Christian or otherwise, knows this is not unique to the Catholic church, nor to all of it’s clergy.
Of course that is correct, but where are the numbers that show "celibates" are less likely to abuse children than married people? I have a hard time believing it. Sex, within marriage, is a good thing, and is not sin. St. Paul called the marriage bed "honorable" and described sex within marriage as a preservative of good morals.
