It’s not a matter of being on to something or not, it’s a matter of stating the obvious.
If I gave you a cube of gold and told you that it was 100% pure gold with no contaminants, none at all, but you found out that it contained 5% other metals, would it be %100 pure gold? How about 1% other metals or even 0.00000005% other metals or if it contained 1 atom of another metal, is it really pure gold like I said it was? No.
Either our salvation depends totally 100% on grace or it doesn’t. If I have to do something, no matter what it is and no matter how minuscule it might be, then it isn’t 100% grace.
It is 100% dependent upon Grace.
You can’t or won’t even explain works for the dead. Now you have a hard time understanding the concept of 100%.
Either God is in control, or man is.
I’ll give you a hint......God is.
Urroner, the Greek word for grace just means gift.
Now I don't know about the Mormon culture, but in the Christian culture if you receive a gift from someone, it doesn't go down as: "Well, let's see, I held out my hands to receive the gift...that's gotta be at least a .2% 'contribution' to it...and then I unwrapped it! Boy, that has to be at least a whopping 1% 'contribution'!"
Sorry. Doesn't work that way. The giver is the 100%. The receiver was 100% enriched by the gift.
