You know, that’s interesting. I wasn’t even aware that there was a detailed book about the life of St. Patrick other than Patrick’s own “Confessions of St. Patrick” and the articles and documentary (or documentaries) about his life.

A bit more about Stephen Lawhead (in case you are interested)......

Lawhead began as a sci fi writer, but morphed into historical fiction. For some dumb reason they still catalog his books at Barnes & Nobel in the sci fi shelves. He is Brittish, though educated in the US and now lives back in the UK.

He is a devout Christian is very good at “sneaking” the gospel message into his books without being pushy or turning off “unbelievers”. For that reason I love to gift his books to non-believing friends. He wrote a series of 5 books with his twist on the King Author legend, called “The Pendragon Cycle”. I gave one to a friend who is Wiccan (because she loved anything Celtic) and she asked for more. I prayed everyday that the books would “plant a seed” in her heart ... I am still praying but she is asking good questions now (if you know what I mean) .... but the point is that the message is subtle and palatable. And the books are just fantastically GOOD!

Some other good ones he wrote are: “Byzantium” and his recent series about Robin Hood, “Hood”, “Scarlet”, and “Tuck”.
