The Scripture is clear, we cannot serve two masters. Morphing Mary into part of the God-head IS NOT A SOLUTION! IT IS MORE BRAZENLY THE PROBLEM.

But dear brother in Christ, I must object: This is NOT how Catholics view Mary. She is NOT "morphed into the Godhead." She is NOT the spawn of Satan. She is the Holy Mother of Christ, a mortal human albeit supremely Blessed, who is with her Son in Heaven even now.

What I find most perplexing is, I cannot reconcile your view of Mary with the picture we have of her at the Marriage at Cana, John 2.

You recall the story I'm sure, dear brother in Christ. Mary comes to Jesus, and says (in so many words), "Son, the marriage feast has run out of wine. Go fix the problem." [Evidently Mary was completely aware of the Nature of her son.]

And Jesus "tries to get out of it," saying:

Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. — John, 2:4

So what does Mary do? Basically, she simply ignores her son's "protest," turns to the servants, and says: "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it."

And Jesus complies. The best wine of the marriage feast is about to be served to the wedding guests....

So, what is my takeaway from this story?

(1) The miracle of the wine at Cana was the first miracle that Christ performed on His earthly journey. [John 2:11]

(2) He performed this miracle at the behest of his mother.

(3) Of this first miracle, Dostoyevsky has Alyosha say [Brothers Karamazov]:

I love that passage; it's Cana of Galilee, the first miracle. ... Ah, that miracle! Ah, that sweet miracle! It was not men's grief, but their joy Christ visited, He worked His first miracle to help men's gladness....

Does any of this add up to the picture of Mary as the harlot of Satan? Tool of the Great Deceiver? Jeepers, Quix.

Rather, Catholics regard the Blessed Mother as a special protector of human beings, because she is herself a human being, and a mother to boot.

Or at least, that is my understanding of the matter.

Great Post ,Dear sister!

“”You recall the story I’m sure, dear brother in Christ. Mary comes to Jesus, and says (in so many words), “Son, the marriage feast has run out of wine. Go fix the problem.” [Evidently Mary was completely aware of the Nature of her son.]””

The late Blessed Fulton Sheen touches on this beautifully as well

At the Resurrection He gave Himself back to her, to show that while she had gained new children, she had not lost Him. At Cana the prophecy that Simeon had made to her in the temple was confirmed: henceforth, whatever involved her Son would involve her, too; whatever happened to Him would happen to her. If He was destined to go to the Cross, so was she; and if He was now beginning His Public Life, then she would begin a new life too, no longer as just the mother of Jesus, but as the mother of all whom Jesus the Savior would redeem. He called Himself “Son of Man,” a title embracing all humanity; she would be henceforth the “Mother of Men.” Just as she was at His side as He began His Hour, so would she be at His side at its climactic finish. When she took Him away from the temple as a boy of twelve, it was because she sensed that His Hour had not yet come; He obeyed her then and returned to Nazareth with her. Now, He told her that His Hour had not yet come, but she bade Him begin it, and He obeyed. At Cana she gave Him as a Savior to sinners; on the Cross He gave her as a refuge to sinners.

When He suggested that His first miracle wold lead unerringly to His Cross and death, and that she would become henceforth a Mother of Sorrows, she turned at once to the wine steward and said:

Do whatever he tells you. John 2:5

What a magnificent valedictory! She never speaks again in Scripture. Seven times she had spoken in the Scriptures, but now that Christ had shown Himself, like the sun in the full brilliance of His Divinity, Our Lady was willingly overshadowed like the moon, as John later on described her.

Well of course Mary is NOT.

But that ain't Mary that appeared to the children of Fatima, I promise you that.

Unless you believe that there are limits to what Satan will do to deceive. You don't believe that do you?

Mary can’t protect anyone, dear Betty. That’s not her job. If anyone is protected, God does it.

Let me emphasize again . . .

Precious Sister in Christ . . .

I’m writing about the

CARICATURE OF MARY

that satan has successfully foisted on the Roman Catholic et al/Vatican edifice and unwitting parishioners.

I think we have all seen SciFi movies or TV shows such as Star Trek . . . in which mortals have been overshadowed or taken over or subsumed by another creature.

At times, the image on the screen will depict the two creatures—mortal man and the Other as parting or joining. At times, it’s unclear which is operating and whether the human operating is alone or subsumed.

I believe that the caricture of Mary that the enemy of our souls has sold the Vatican flocks on is extremely seductive and deadly but in the most beautiful clothes and images that SEEM to millions of unwitting souls sooooo kosher.

The enemy is an artist at such charades and false images and false personages. He’s an artist at angel-of-light manipulations and at seemingly kosher miracles.

I’m not sure how to articulate, what I’m trying to discuss, better.

The “Mary” personage the enemy is staging and pulling the strings of and playing the flock with like a piano is NOT THE AUTHENTIC MARY OF SCRIPTURE.

To whatever degree she’s aware of such, she must be horrified at what has been staged in her name and image.
