It’s two in the morning here. I’m just reading over the thread, after waking in the middle of the night. I’m on Sam’s house computer, to thank everyone for the time you took to pray on his behalf. Anne and I appreciate them more than we can say.
Just a note to let everyone know — somehow, we got the wrong name for the substitute surgeon while his is on vacation. It is not the one we feared, but a different one, with a better reputation, and we are so grateful! Surely God intervened! We do not know what to expect this week, but pray for Sam to recover his strength and heal.
I don’t know what to do with myself in the middle of the night, so as I pray, I’ll clean the kitchen. That’s something that won’t disturb the sleeping children. At least it’s useful, but, like Anne, I feel so helpless.
We have thin hope, but we do have hope.
I offered my Communion for Sam this morning. God be with him and with you and all the family.
Thank you for the good news! Prayers continue...
