It’s somewhat of a shame when folks have to learn about the Roman church from a Calvinist.
“In the case of married ministers, the norms established in the Encyclical Letter of Pope Paul VI Sacerdotalis coelibatus, n. 42[15] and in the Statement In June[16] are to be observed. Unmarried ministers must submit to the norm of clerical celibacy of CIC can. 277, §1. “

What you've posted does not say anything about what the current pope believes. Historically, the Church had accepted (TOLERATED)the schismatics priests who came back into the Catholic Church. The Church TOLERATED it. That does not mean that “the pope thinks that married priests should be the norm, or that he is for changing the age old practice of celibate unmarried priests.
The Roman Rite is the rite used worldwide by I think like 96% of Catholics. The Eastern Rites like Maronite, Ruthenian, Melkite etc, represent a small part of the whole. The few married priests are TOLERATED, that's all. I'm sure that you know what the Church means by TOLERATE.
