Why couldn’t a simple commandment be ordered, instead of personal demonstration? Not to mention the fact that it was the entity which rested, and not the entity demonstrating resting. There’s a big difference between the two.

God is very "hands-on". He demonstrates what He wants, He interacts with people.

Not to mention the fact that it was the entity which rested, and not the entity demonstrating resting. There’s a big difference between the two.
