Evidently today is Communion Sunday at Colonial.

Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross will be music now - from the Colonial orchestra...

Allow HIM to bring your heart close to His...

“Church services occur on Sunday.”

I know. I attend every week. I consider that neither “breaking” nor “news.”

Tune in.

Evidently Dr. Davey is out - this is his Associate pastor speaking.

Considering the events going on in the world today - you MIGHT be blessed to listen in!

That’s why it’s in breaking news - because it is related to all the events that have been happening in the world...

God bless you!

See my post #8 re: why this thread belongs in Breaking news. But you do whatever you should do.

What church service does NOT talk about events happening in the world? Who is Dr. Davey, why should I care and what makes your church service any more newsworthy than someone elses?

“Concentrated Area of Relocated Yankees = CARY”

I just want it known that I do not in any way object to the content or reason behind this thread, I simply fail to see how or why it should be considered “news.” Especially when this august forum has a specific place for religious threads.

It is not that MY church service is any more news worthy than any others.

It is that ANY church service today is likely going to be wonderful - Colonial Baptist just happens to be the church I attend.

Have you tuned in?

Dr. Davey is our pastor - the Senior Pastor at Colonial.

He also leads a teaching program called Wisdom for the Heart - found at wisdomonline.org.

http://www.wisdomonline.org/

He is also President of Shepherd’s Seminary which is at the Colonial campus.

He has been teaching on Sunday mornings from the book of Revelation for the past oh year and a half....

The services of Feb 14 and 21 were so awesome - I just knew today’s service would be awesome - and so far it has not disappointed.

Singing - Crown Him Lord of Lords!

Glory!

Glad you don’t object to the content of the thread.

Sigh.

It is in Breaking News because IT and ALL worship services today are significant - as they are related to the events going on in the world right now...in a big way!

Why not just tune in, and just relax and worship God with all who are worshiping Him today all over the world!

Jesus, your Name is Love! (singing now)

Online church services are a great idea! It’s the only time someone can enjoy a good cold beer while taking in a good sermon.

You don’t even have to dress up and act like you are happy to see people you hardly know, or can’t stand to be around.

Whatever floats your boat....

As someone who would be there today if I were not sick with a cough - I am very appreciative of this live broadcast of this service!

There are other local church services that I could even Watch - so it’s not just THIS SERVICE that is awesome this morning.

It is one among thousands today I am sure.

And with Dr. Davey not preaching, and with this being Communion Sunday - we won’t hear the marvelous teaching on Revelation today.

But at Colonial.org, anyone who would like to hear some very wonderful services which do focus on the Book of Revelation - they can go to the same media link at colonial.org and click on the Feb 14 and/or the Feb 21 Worship services - and listen to those...and can even print out the Sermon Transcripts from those services which would make it so clear exactly what is going on RIGHT NOW in the world!
