My son was molested for four years by a Catholic boy near us and we never knew about it. Whether that boy was molested himself, I don’t know, but he caused my then 8-year-old son untold pain all his life.
What was the resolution?

First of all, I want to preface this by saying that it is terribly sad what your son and your family went through, and I hope all has resolved.
But what has the fact that the boy may have been Catholic have anything to do with him molesting your son? You are not suggesting that the Catholic laity has greater proclivity to sexual deviancy than Protestants?
That’s terrible, Mary. I hope he’s recovered. It’s a dangerous world out there, isn’t it? Especially for children.
