But I for one am thankful for the training this forum provides.

Amen

Think of it as a microcosm of how Romanist despotism would work in the real world.

We already have the lessons of history.

Unfortunately, it's clear that the amalgamation of Romanism and Secularism is radically changing our country and the lessons we learn in this microcosm may be of some use in the macro world to come.

I have different take on it. I don't think they are all that cunning. I think their hierarchy because of their isolation from the world and the abnormal self imposed lifestyle they live are the useful idiots of the left.

It seems we are approaching a time where there is no middle ground in this country. The left wants big unionized govt overseeing every aspect of our life. The RCC tends to be in this camp, except for life issues. The right wants limited govt and individual freedom coupled with personal responsibility. The Born Again Christians tend to be in this camp.

I think the end will come when the govt defaults on it's debt and in the chaos 2 different countries will emerge. I think history is clear as far as which will prosper.

Okay, I've seen this kind of wild speculation before, except it was the accusation that there's going to be some kind of collusion between Catholicism and Islam. Which is it fellows? It's not like this kind of wacko conspiracy theorizing is anything new in "Reformed" Christianity. I guess it's a manifestation of the anarchy inside of your wing.

INDEED.

I agree that the lessons of history are important but they are only known in the abstract while here we get to see them in practice which should add to our level of knowledge.

If we have learned anything in the Health Care debate it is that the USCCB is the most powerful lobbyist group on Capital Hill. This is the typical modus operandi of Rome in relation to the State. While not directly pulling the levers themselves they are able to compel the Romanist legislators with spiritual threats. Since Romanist Social Justice theory and Liberal Egalitarianism is essentially the same the USCCB’s only concern is to carve out an abortion compromise. Rome already has the Social Justice/Egalitarian position locked up!

I can’t see two different countries emerging from chaos since that is typically when despotism comes to fruition. The Left is using the fear of chaos to frighten the people to submit to authoritarianism. Rome is happy with that authoritarianism under the rubric of Social Justice theory.
