I agree with you. There is no such thing as a perfect church.

What's a "perfect church"?

One where there are no sinners? In that case, you're right. There is no "perfect church".

Or do you mean a church which has the whole truth of the Gospel, free from error? If so, you're wrong.

There is one God, who founded one Church, to preach one truth. All else is error. God does not deal in error and neither does His Church.

Read some Scripture. Jesus is the head of the Church which is His Body. How can the Head be perfect and not the Body? The Church is also the Bride of Christ, perfect and spotless, without stain.

So does Jesus preach error? No?

Then how can His Body?

marshmallow, please let me give you a list of some the things I love about Catholics.

Catholics as a rule do more good works than their Protestant brothers and sisters. (I don’t care if people disagree. I believe it’s true.)

Catholics are better organized than protestants.

Catholics are more united on any given issue than Protestants.

Catholics are more consistent givers. I’m guessing that a large portion of the monthly money donated to Free Republic comes from Catholics but I don’t know for sure.

The anti-abortion rallies I’ve attended have had higher percentages of Catholics than protestants.

Two Catholics let me marry their daughter and gave me $25,000 for a down payment on my house in the country.

I DON’T HATE CATHOLICS! I just think some of the Catholic doctrine is wrong and I would like to see them all saved and in Heaven someday.

I do think I’m going to lay off on the Catholic posts. I think I’ll try using some softer methods of persuasion.
