Yes, it is probably worthwhile to mention that the same word in Protestant circles came to take on a completely unrelated historical and eschatological meaning. Roughly, it is referring to stages or epoches of divine revelation.
As an extension of that, it also refers, again, in Protestant contexts, to a certain system of thought as regards the present day country of Israel.
I only mention that by way of disambiguation; I don’t know much further and do not take sides in Protestant disputes.
