Glenn Beck would be a member of the kind of church

If you watch his video he says he joined because his soon to be wife said he had to.

If Glenn Beck leaves Mormonism, will you?

“Meanwhile, our Church is growing and we are experiencing a revival.” [SD]

Actually, the mormon cult is bleeding converts at an alarming rate. [AMPU]

- - - - - - - - -
Are they still pushing that tired old ‘proof’ that they are the ‘fastest growing church’ (which they aren’t)? It is a good idea to do research rather than just repeat what is told to the members at Sacrament meeting.

Here Saundra are some articles that show the LDS (by their own numbers) is at zero percent growth and quite possibly is hemorrhaging much more than that from several other accounts. Since they don’t give the numbers that leave and give membership numbers rather than active attendance numbers we may never know exactly how many are on the rolls but don’t attend (estimates are about 50-60%).

From the Jeff Lindsay link:

http://www.jefflindsay.com/adam.shtml#eve

The fall of Eve and Adam is profoundly significant: they opened the way of mortality for all humankind, and they subjected themselves to temporal death in order to make continued progression toward eternal life possible. Mother Eve bestowed upon her daughters and sons a heritage of honor, for she acted with wisdom, love, and unselfish sacrifice.

You take holy writ out of context, twist and tweek it to fit your pre-conceived agenda.

The link on my reply goes directly to an LDS.org article. Black and white, Saundra.

Meanwhile, our Church is growing and we are experiencing a revival. We are the 4th largest denomination in America.

Where's the source for this statement? I provided source for mine, do the same.

Look at this way. Do you really think Glenn Beck would be a member of the kind of church you are portraying in your crazy posts?

I am not a fan of Glenn Beck. I think his alcoholism will eventually win over his mormonism.

and I went to see Beck’s “Christmas Sweater” play at the theater. The book/play is about the Atonement and about how the Atonement can change lives and save lives.

The Crucifixion is much more important to Christians than the Atonement, which is one reason mormons aren't considered Christian by real Christians.

I don’t know why you guys get so offended. Me thinks thou protesteth a little too much.

We get offended at the audacity of mormonism for denigrating Christianity continuously for over 150 years, and now demanding that Christians accept their definition of what a Christian is!

Religious freedom is one of the gifts of our Founding Fathers. By your constant badgering of Mormons on this site you are making it difficult to believe you believe in freedom of religion. Very difficult.

You are free to rebut every single post if you like. We are free to find the arguments unconvincing and to post facts about Joseph Smith, the charlatan and conman.

Congratulations Saundra, you are in contention for "Player of the Week."

Doesn’t make sense.

Doesn't that pretty much sum up the LDS movement in general...

When it comes to the LDS it is not a question of freedom of religion.

It is a question of spiritual theft and deceit.

Funny thing is she still sounds like one. Her posting are like Christian brad covered in a smattering of Smithian butter.

She is the perfect convert mark for the LDS. Attracted the the bright lights, blissfully looking at the pretty Christian like PR provided sets whilst blissfully unaware of the complete fabrication it is based on.

I wonder if she’s made it to the temple yet. I wonder if she is worthy enough for the coveted Temple Recommend and what she thinks of the ceremony.

That might be a real eye-opener for her when she is finally worthy to participate.

Saundra - have you been for your endowment yet?

Church members renew this covenant each time they partake of the sacrament (see D&C 20:77, 79).

In my Christian church, we partake of the communion by holding in our minds the words of Jesus at the Last Supper,

In Remembrance of Me

In Remembrance

(Ragan Courtney and Buryl Red)

In remembrance of Me eat this bread
In remembrance of Me drink this wine
In remembrance of Me pray for the time
When God's own will is done

In remembrance of me heal the sick
In remembrance of me feed the poor
In remembrance of me open the door
And let your brother in, let him in

Take eat and be comforted
Drink and remember too
That this is my body and precious blood
Shed for you, shed for you

In remembrance of me always love
In remembrance of me don't look above
But in your heart, in your heart
Look in your heart for God

Do this in remembrance of Me
Do this in remembrance of Me
In remembrance of Me

As an adult convert who has been in 10 years, I would be surprised if she hasn’t.

They have been pushing people through faster lately since it is harder to leave once you take those oaths.

I wonder if someone like Saundra who is a convert, would be willing to attend the Temple without her spouse. He might not be quite as “into it” as she is.

She’s never mentioned (at least that I have seen) that she has attended the Temple either to marry for eternity or to receive her endowment. That’s why I asked.

In fact, I don’t know if resty has either.
