When I was young I was into rock and roll. My younger son (16) is into country. I'm totally hooked on it now. Where country is different than pop or rock is the songs usually tell a story, and the rules are don't put down God, family, or country.
IIRC, that song is about an old guy who meets a young guy at a bar. They swap stories. The old guy passes away and leaves the young guy his money. The family of the old guy is upset. The young guy swings by the grave opens a six pack to the old guy and celebrates his good fortune.
