1 I desire therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men: 2 For kings, and for all that are in high station: that we may lead a quiet and a peaceable life in all piety and chastity. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus: 6 Who gave himself a redemption for all, a testimony in due times

This scripture is talking about making intercessions TO GOD..through Christ that is the correct context.. I feel so sorry for catholics..rightly dividing scriptures has never been taught to them

It is just "repeat after me.. "

Yes, in this role it is the human nature of Christ that mediates. Yes, Christ is God.

Again, if Mary was sinless she did not have a human nature to pass on to Christ, she herself was a god..

But if it is the humanity of Christ that mediates for us, why on earth would we need another human mediator?? When we can come boldly before His throne ??

7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
