How do you explain Jesus’ own words:

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” Matthew 28:19 KJV

Excellent question.

In ~311 CE Eusebius (265-339) Bishop of Caesarea
In his _Proof of the Gospel_
in Book three chapter seven states

Go, and make disciples of all the nations in My Name, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you,” [[Matt. xxviii. 19.]]

Apparently Matthew 28:19 was changed
after Eusebius wrote his Proof of the Gospel.

Eusebius's citation is the oldest citation of the verse.

Shabbat Shalom

Perhaps it is the oldest citation of that Scripture verse, I don’t know. We don’t even know if Eusebius quoted it correctly - he may not have. The canon of the Scriptures was not finalized until the 390’s, well beyond Eusebius’ time. The point is that the verse in the Bible as we know it is the one I referenced.
