The first century church had the Cross at its very foremost.

And, I do seem to remember noting the companion verse in
Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
So I must be able to see (and read) the word cross.
Or are you arguing just for the sake of arguing? After all, I am a Mormon, so I must not be able to read the Bible.
