To: T Minus Four

I consider this often as I nearly died from an operation 13 years ago and have lost many friends over the last two years.

More recently, I am taking care of a friend who is 99 and we discuss her inevitable earthly death.

Is this the former Mormon? Does she know the Lord now? Isn’t it wonderful that it’s never too late until our last breath on this earth?

My favorite parable is in Matthew 19, the worker in the vinyard. They all got paid the same, no matter if they started work first thing in the morning or the 3rd, 6th, 9th or eleventh hour.

Being a bit of a latecomer to Christianity myself, this brought me great comfort and reassurance. I understand that the LDS church teaches a different doctrine than this biblical truth (surprise).
