I heard of Mary Daly years ago when she banned male students from her classes. The administration stiffened its spine and imposed actual punishment, and she took her business elsewhere.
Daly also refused to use the word “seminar”, claiming it was a symbol of male insemination dominance or some such; she substituted the absurd term “ovular” instead.
But truth is always stranger than fiction, and in this case grimly so. The hatred, bile, and vitriol fairly drip from Mary Daly’s output; this was a profoundly angry woman in a permanent state of burning rage (like many Muslims).
Reading this account is chilling.
At any rate, she is probably permenenyly burning now.
Now that shows the level of depravity to which she had descended. Perhaps the saddest aspect of is that she was the first American woman to receive a doctorate in Catholic theology. That is a daunting feat and highly commendable except she did this for all the wrong reasons ... she accomplished this out of spite and hatred for the Catholic Church. Essentially, there was no spiritual gain from so many years of study.
