Caution: St. Meinrad may be improving, but there are still some problems there given the decades of neglect and atrophy that it endured 1970-1995.

The music that St Meinrad is offering is properly liturgical music - Gregorian chant - adapted for the English texts. I know that some musicians would argue that Gregorian chant is not suited for the English language and that other styles of sacred music might be better - or some other way of adapting Gregorian chant, or something.

This isn't that difficult at all. The big thing is learning the different modes and figuring out on which syllables to change pitch. That a bunch of monks are going to clean up on publishing Gregorian Chant in English says more about the pathetic state of musicianship in the Church in the US than anything else.
