True enough, Mrs Don-o. As an adult he certainly did choose the life of an itinerant preacher. But I suspect he would have been welcome to live with his Mum anytime he wanted.

Heck, even the U.S. Census keeps the story straight! Didn’t the priest include these census handouts in the church bulletin? /extreme sarcasm, due to govt abuse of a religious narrative.

You're surely right about that. And yet we know He personally identified with those who lacked food and shelter --- and thought it was so important for his followers to "get" that that he repeated it in detail four times in Matthew 25:31-46.

Paradoxical, isn't it?
