First of all, you are wrong. Adam gave over 'authority' to satan in the garden. JESUS (the 2nd Adam), 2000 years ago, reclaimed 'our authority'!

'Resist satan and he will flee'. Who has the authority? Believers have the authority and the ONLY authority satan can have it what you give him. Some believers ACT on that authority by faith and some believers live their life in defeat because they believe as you do.
