“Uh yeah...Mother Teresa”

Uh no. . . she didn’t pay for it herself because she had nothing. I don’t want to take away anything from this amazing woman, but she collected money from people who tithed it or made an offering. Some sacrificed to give to her but most I am sure did not have to sacrifice to give an offering. She may have organized it but, as always, she had to collect resources from people who actually had them.

It’s hard for alot of people to accept but God prospers people so that they can help others. This is a scriptural principle. If we had more people prospering then there would be more available to help others.

Yes, we should be good stewards over the things God has given us. But our rewards will be eternal not temporal.

Mark 12:41-44 (NIV)

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.
42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.
44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."

I agree. Mother Teresa knew God is her Source and HE will make a way for her to fulfill the destiny on her life. And God uses people (who will be obedient) to accomplish His Will.

As you said - it's because of people giving that The Word is spread. You can't give if you don't have.

2 Cor 9:10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.

Luke 6:38 - Give and it will be given to you, a good measure pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
