Several years ago when I used to be a Hospital Chaplain, I got into a discussion with one of the nurses who believed in reincarnation. She told me that whether I knew it or not or believed it or not, I was going to be reincarnated. I told her that I believe the Bible and Jesus said that only through Him could we acquire eternal life. I asked her if she knew what logic was and she said yes. So I said, If you are right, I have no risk by my belief as I will be reincarnated whether I like it or not BUT what if I am right and only through Christ are we saved? Logically , I’m sitting a little better off, don’t you think? She didn’t want to talk about it any more.
Good for you for standing up for our christian beliefs! The woman whose testimony I posted above also believed in reincarnation because some spiritualist said her grandmother had been reincarnated. When she died she met her grandmother and realized then that she had been deceived. As she phrases it: "I convinced myself, simply, one would die and would re-begin from the top… and I forgot it cost a price of Blood to my Lord Jesus."
The logical problem with Pascal’s wager is that there are many win all/lose all bets.
Do you believe in Jesus, Allah, or Jewish/Noachide monotheism that allows for no Trinity? If you believe in Jesus, are you a Jack Chick Baptist, an old style Catholic, a Jehovah’s Witness or a member of one of the innumerable sects that believe that theirs is the only way through the gate?
