Oh, no kidding, I couldn't agree more! Those poor people. Roman Catholics think, because of the false doctrine of
ex opere operato, that the rituals give them something spiritual apart from repentant faith. Plus, their sect assures them that it will handle that nasty Bible-thingie for them, so they don't really need to work with it themselves (even though it's addressed to all Christians, not a special class of interpreters). We could to on and on. Sad, isn't it? Thank God for
the Gospel!
